Relax chose to manufacture with Tritan Copolyester material developed by a US company Eastman Chemicals as a thermoplastic and is set apart by the practical and innovative resources: Tritan can withstand up 80°C making it suitable for dishwasher besides being neutral in taste, food-safe, heat-resistant and shatter-proof. Additionally Tritan is known to be lightweight. It's also BPS-free, manufactured without any harmful plasticizers (if absorbed into bodies may cause: disruption of natural hormones, inhibiting testosterone and enhancing estrogen) such as Bisphenol A (BPA) and Bisphenol S (BPS)
Exactly How Safe is Tritan?
Tritan is a healthy, clean & safe choice based on extensive tests, Eastman Chemicals guarantees that the plastic does not contain any hormonally active substances nor substances with estrogenic effects. Tritan has been approved by the EFSA (European Food and Safety Association), FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), Health Canada & Australia’s Standards. It can even be used in medical technology and for kids water bottles products.
Should I switch to Relax Tritan?
Water bottles made from Tritan are light, perfect for everyday commute without the additional weight and extremely durable to accidental falls, often used for production of children’s bottles. How to Clean Relax Reusable Tritan Water Bottle?
We would recommend cleaning a Tritan water bottle by hand. Simply use soapy water & clean it with a soft brush/ sponge. Rinse with running water & repeat the cleaning process several times to ensure the bottle is fully cleaned. Do not use hard brush or abrasive cleaners as they might cause scratches on the inner/outer wall of the product. Wash with gentle cleansers not containing bleach, chlorine or harsh chemicals. Although Relax bottles made from Tritan can be cleaned in the dishwasher since its temperature can withstand up to 80°C, we would recommend a significantly lower temperature. The higher the temperature; especially using steam sterilizer on children bottles, will shrink the size of Tritan bottles.
When to Replace Relax Tritan Water Bottle?
Tritan is a very strong & flexible plastic durable for long-term usage, Relax water bottles can fall onto any surface without immediately breaking. However, replace your water bottle when there are scratches on the inner surface of the bottle or when it becomes foggy, discolored or cracked. Especially long-term temperatures above 90° C can cause deformation of the plastic or micro-cracks in the material. We would suggest hand washing with mild soap and lukewarm water to get rid of stubborn stains. Do not use steam sterilizer or dish-washer.

Officially recognized universities and independent third-party labs ran an analysis on Tritan, the effects immensely shown that it is safe and, in similar studies, free of bisphenol A (BPA) and bisphenol S (BPS).
